In May 2002, the Merrickville Memorial Project was begun to commemorate the men and women from the Merrickville-Wolford area who participated in the First World War, the Second World War, and the War of Vietnam. 5 months later, a booklet entitled "Merrickville Remembers: A tribute to the men who gave their lives for our freedom" was published jointly by the Canadian Legion Branch 245 and the Merrickville District Community Health Centre.  Below is the list of those Killed in Action, as well as an excerpt from the booklet.
