If you are tracing ancestral lines or early settler lineages in the district, the Merrickville Public Library houses the renowned Alice Hughes Genealogical Collection. The knowledgeable library staff are available to assist you in navigating these valuable family history records during regular library hours.

  • Burritt's Rapids Archives:

Housed in the Burritt's Rapids Community Hall, this facility serves as the Society's off-site archival repository for documents and artifacts not currently on display.

  • Access Policy: To ensure the preservation of these delicate materials, the Burritt's Rapids Archives is not open to the general public.
